Some fun wineries to explore now that the mask mandate is lifted!

The new normal in Massachusetts is that the masks are lifted for the most part, which is refreshing news with the warmer weather on the way.  Now that our lives are getting back to somewhat normal, what is there to do?  There are some great wineries close by that are opening up and planning events now through the Fall and beyond.  Below are some that may be worth a visit.

Westport Rivers Vineyard is a 4th generation family of wine growers.  They use sustainable practices and have a wide selection to browse and purchase in the store.  Visit them in person or on-line for activities and get inspired by their selections.

They’re located at 417 Hixbridge Road, Westport, MA., 02790,  508.636.3423,  Westport Rivers Vineyard

Another great option is Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard in Rhode Island.  Their grapes are grown locally, picked by hand, and barrel-aged in French, Hungarian, Russian and American oak barrels.  They are now offering tasting flights, wine by the bottle and grab and go food items.

They’re located at 162 W. Main Rd., Little Compton, RI, 02837, 401.635.8486,  Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard

Last, but not least, another fun one to visit is Newport Vineyards and Winery.  They are open daily for their marketplace and tasting room as well as their Taproot Brewing Company.  They have over 50-acres of vines, spread across 100-acres of historically preserved farmland, Newport Vineyards prides itself on a robust portfolio of estate-grown wines perfected for over 25 years.

They’re located at 909 East Main Rd. (Rte. 138), Middletown, RI, 02842, 401.848.5161, Newport Vineyards & Winery
